Our Partners

Afristar Bio has created an eco-system of partners to deliver its projects, linking together experienced technology suppliers (TTC Ltd, a Sino-German starch technology company), EPC giants CNBM, who have significant experience of delivering engineering projects across Africa, Debt financing from China, and cassava cultivation expertise from a portfolio of partners, including IITA, Self Help Africa and national-level agricultural partners. In each focus country a local development partner has been identified.

Afristar Bio is registered in the UK, and will have a small management team consisting of an Executive Chairman, Development Director, CFO, Operations Director, supported by a small administration unit

Nick Brooks

Nick spent 25 years in Shell International setting up and running businesses in SE Asia, South Asia, East Europe, Middle East, Central and South America. Since leaving Shell in 2005 Nick has focused on the renewables sector, setting up or sitting on the Boards of biofuels and bioenergy companies in Europe, Africa and China, covering many different parts of the value chain, from growing energy crops, through technology development companies, project development companies, and building and operating agri-based biofuel and bioenergy plants. In addition he provides an advisory service to very early stage renewable sector players around the world, and Chairs two charity Boards working with disadvantaged young people in South Africa and the UK,
