Our Projects

Luapula, Zambia

A 150 TPD cassava starch factory and biogas plant, to be constructed in conjunction with Zondo. Project location has been selected in Luapula, where 8000 hectares of land suitable for cassava production and factory location has been identified and is being progressed.

Kalifi, Kenya

A 100 TPD starch factory and biogas plant will be constructed in partnership with Giraffe Bioenergy Limited in Kalifi County, where strong national and regional government support is being provided. Cassava feedstock will be provided by local farmers within a 50-60km radius of the factory – farmers will receive training and development support by our local partners, SHA (Self Help Africa).

Makeni, Sierra Leone

Initially a 150 TPD cassava starch factory and biogas plant to be constructed in partnership with an established local sugar and power producer with significant plantation land availability.

Other development projects are currently under assessment by the Afristar team.

In all cases the project development team will leverage existing innovative technology design and outgrower partnership and management models provided by experienced partners.
